"Doctor, who was she?" Clara mutters, "You said she hasn't met you yet. . . do you see her in the future. . ." She stops, "Well, her future?"

The Doctor smiles, "Yes, she's just a girl I knew," He looks down to his hands. "But she's gone now, for the best," he whispers.

"Well," Clara mumbles, "She works very hard. I went to that store all of the time. and she's always the one at the register, I hardly see any other employees about."

After some walking, they arrive across the lake from the London Eye, plopping down on a bench, looking into a small convenient store as dawn hits the city. "This is it. I was right there, in that store when she decided she was going to walk out into the main plaza, and into an empty warehouse, beneath the store that your friend works at" Her voice is solemn.

"Clara," The Doctor says "You must know, that no matter what happens, no matter what you see here, you may not interfere. I know she's your mother, but it's important you don't play with you're own timeline. Do you understand?"

She nods, hardly paying attention as she eyes the shop, waiting for her mom.

"Clara," he says, grabbing her vision, "I mean it."

"Alright," She promises.

The Doctor watches her closely, before adding, "how did she die?" He tries to set the question gently, looking to her eyes to find any way to detect her emotions.

A dull look of sorrow, weakens her as she points to a large warehouse. "She went into that building. . . And she-" her voice cracks, choking on tears, "the building went up in flames. We never knew why she'd go into an empty warehouse." Her tear stained eyes flicker to the Doctor. "And that's why I chose here. I want to know what her last-" she swallows "last intentions."

"Clara," his focused eyes peer at her with curious sympathy, "are you sure you want to see this?"

She nods instantly "I have to."

He peers up to the warehouse she spoke of, and tries to lighten the mood, "funny thing actually," he smiles, "the first time I met Rose -- that girl at the shop -- was in that building. There were all sorts of plastic mannequin creatures and finally I had to blow up the entire buildi-" his eyes instantly widen as the words plummet down to the darkest depths of his stomach.

Clara's eyes dart over to him, "wait. . . You what?" she says in disbelief.

"Clara I-"

"Would you look who it is!" Rose interrupts. "The people in the disappearing box!" She smiles. "Funny seeing you two around again, catch you later!" A black man is gripping her hand and looking judgmentally towards the two. "Disappearing box?" He mutters as they walk away. As Rose explains her voice fades off. She leans in to kiss him, before skipping off to the warehouse.

"Doctor," she swallows, eyes closed, "please tell me you weren't the reason the building exploded." It was right then that none other than, Ellie Oswald, walked out of the shop, passing right in front of the two.

Clara stands and reaches out to grab her arm before being firmly pulled away "Clara. No. Remember what I said."

Clara's eyes begin to stream with tears, watching her mother walk to her doom. Seeing it as if it was a poor magician's trick, as if everyone sees the trap door but her mother.

Why did it have to be like this?

"c- can we follow her?" Clara murmured. The doctor looks carefully at her before huffing and walking towards the clueless women. She neared the warehouse, when a piercing scream was heard from inside.

Ellie peered up, looking towards the building and quickly running in towards the cry, her eyes glimmering with good intentions.

"What day did she die, Clara?" He states, with feigned calmness.

"What?" Her saddened eyes peer innocently up to him.

"What day did she die?" he says forcefully this time.

"March 5th, 2005."

He covers his mouth with his hand and squeezes his eyes shut. "The day I met Rose Tyler, and the day tha-"

It was seconds, before a deafening explosion shook the ground around them.
Here's part two! If you go look at a pic of Ellie's (Clara's mom) tomb stone, she died the same day that Rose first met the Doctor. This was the inspiration for this idea. Hope everyone enjoys!

Oh, just imagine if this were the case. Oh, ohhhhh, Clara Clara. This would be a truly beautifully emotional moment but still so saddening in the show.
